IS THIS LOVE?

 

Often times we wonder what true love feels like,if it's what we see in the movies,read in novels or the fairy tales we were told about how Princes like a knight in shining armor always charges to the rescue of the poor village girl..

Well let's assume it's true, are you a prince , a poor village girl or do you even know any Prince, anyway it's good to have a dream but I don't think you should be dreaming the afternoon sha.

Growing up we all had this picture of a perfect relationship in our head especially with our school crush, we imagine a perfect ending and all that, well at that age it's pardonable but if you are grown and still imagine such in your head then I think you watch too much movies and you seem to forget that this is Nigeria and obviously there's a difference between Chukwuemeka and Eduardo.

You meet someone today, you profess love today, you want her response today, you pressure her to say what you want to hear instead of what she feels, you threw patience to the wind, you want a quick action, you can't take no for an answer, her feeling doesn't matter to you, all you care is that you win another trophy and it doesn't matter at whose expense as long as you get what you want and I ask...IS THS LOVE?

You took time to admire her before you told her and you don't want her to take her own time to know if this is what she wants too,no! That's not your concern after all you are the man and she's a woman and you want to man over her own freedom to choose and I ask again..IS THIS LOVE?

If a love denies you freedom, takes away your freewill, manipulates you and become possesive then that's not love because such love can be unhealthy, how can you express love in selfishness.

In my opinion,love is not a bondage

Love doesn't intend to slave anyone

Love is freedom

Love is selflessness

Love is not too possesive

Love care about the heart in question

If you love him or her let don't put a leash on them, be their light,their hope,their happiness not their pain, show them love that is not selfish and see them return such love in multiple folds.
